The Old Europe

This photograph was taken during one of my trips to Poland at a small northern city called Slawno. I spent a few years there growing up as a little girl and remember this street as a scary and dangerous place. This is were the Gypsy community lived and my grondmother assured me that little girls would go missing here if they didn’t hold on to their grandmothers. I was happy to see that the street has not changed at all in the last decades.
